MILD wants to celebrate business owners who are improving their business and their communities! 

Included at our 2017 Awards Dinner we will be celebrating our winners for the following awards:
Business Improvement/Business Innovator Award
This award is to recognize owners who are making an investment in their business to improve efficiencies in their business or service to their customers.  Nomination criteria would be improvement in machinery or investment to improve processes to better serve their customers. Examples of activities that would meet the criteria for this award could be:  
•    Installation of new drycleaning machine, press machine, laundry machine.
•    Installation of new computer system or customer tracking system.
•    Having owner or staff person complete industry certification program to improve knowledge.
•    Improvement in facility i.e. Implemented new eco-friendly, or sustainability features.
•    Improvement in employee training program to improve customer service or productivity.  
•    Improvement in business operations to show innovation in the marketplace.  

Award Recipient receives the following:
•    Press release to local and national publications of the award achievement
•    Award certificate to be presented at the MILD Awards Dinner
•    Complimentary registration to attend the Awards Dinner
•    Awards winners will be notified by June 30th

Outstanding Community Service Award  
This award is to recognize dedicated members that are involved in community or charitable activities.  MILD understands that small businesses are the cornerstone of every community and your support should be celebrated. Nomination criteria is volunteering with a registered charity or organization / non-profit in the State of Michigan.
Examples of activities that would meet the criteria for this award could be:  
•    Volunteering at the local Boys/ Girls Club or other youth activity.
•    Volunteering a local charity event – Walking of the American Cancer Society
•    Participating in Coats for Kids program.
•    Participating in clothing drives or cleaning for a local charity.
•    Volunteering in the community with government, school, charity, etc.  

Award Recipient receives the following:
•    Award certificate presented at the MILD Awards Dinner
•    All nominations that meet the criteria will receive donation to community charity or organization in the level of $50
•    A top prize will be award for $200 above the $50 level.  
•    Press release to local and national publications of the award achievement.
•    Complimentary registration to attend the MILD Summer Award Dinner
•    Awards winners will be notified by June 30th
